LIMITLESS
Independent concept · 2026
Seven championship years become a living visual language. LIMITLESS combines kinetic typography, a source-backed record book and a photographic archive in an independent athlete website designed for exploration and control.

A career in motion, built to be explored.
Self-initiated / unofficial portfolio concept
A career this recognisable does not need another wall of trophies. The challenge was to make Lewis Hamilton’s achievements feel immediate while giving visitors a clear way into the detail: seven championship seasons, a substantial record book, work beyond racing and a photographic archive.
LIMITLESS turns that breadth into movement. Its opening number 44 is a field of light that transforms into the seven championship years. The same idea continues through the site: identity becomes a way to explore content. Near-black, chalk and signal red give the edition the pace of a racing publication, with Archivo and Manrope providing a deliberate contrast between expressive headlines and readable context. The trajectories are original visual art, rather than racing lines or telemetry.
The experience extends beyond the opening. Championships connects year controls to the appropriate season, facts and story. Records provides search and category filters across 25 entries, distinguishing records, historical milestones and dated career totals. Beyond makes sourced opportunities and reported outcomes legible without presenting unknown results as successes. Archive becomes a photographic focus desk with perspective, a high-resolution loupe, monochrome proof and a full-frame viewer. Photography and its credit change together, preserving a coherent context as visitors explore.
My role covered creative direction, information architecture, interaction design and development, with AI-assisted research and implementation. I built the edition as static HTML, CSS and JavaScript with a custom WebGL renderer. Fonts and media are hosted with the site; the experience makes no automatic requests to external services.
Motion is optional. Visitors can pause it, system preferences receive reduced-motion treatment, and readable content remains available without JavaScript or WebGL. The documented checks cover desktop and emulated mobile layouts, keyboard focus, native menus, the image viewer and the behaviour of animation controls. These are browser observations, rather than a claim of physical-device testing or WCAG certification.
The result is a published six-page experience, including its credits page. It demonstrates how an expressive visual system can organise dense, sourced content without making the effect the only way to access it. No conversion or audience-growth study was conducted.
This is a self-initiated, unofficial portfolio concept by Petru Amortoae, with no claimed affiliation or endorsement. The photographs remain the work of their credited creators under their individual Creative Commons licences; local display derivatives and full originals are documented in the site’s credits.
